About Us

Jeanette Bronée, CHHC
Nourishment Counselor, Founder of Path for Life.

Jeanette is a Nourishment Counselor and Health Advocate. Certified Meta-Medicine Coach®, Ericksonian Hypnotherapist, EFT practitioner, Board certified with the AADP from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition since 2004, and member of AAIM. (The American Association for Integrative Medicine). She is certified in Connective Healing and Intuitive Counseling with Tom Monte, Trained in Macrobiotics and Energy Psychology. Her sessions are an integration of teaching food knowledge, emotional healing, spiritual guidance, and coaching.

Apart from working intensely and very personally one-on-one with her clients, she writes and is a motivational speaker. She wants everyone to know that change is possible and health is within our reach.

Fully engaged in every client’s journey, she counsels each client through their eating habits and emotional struggles. Her goal is to help them find their own individual path to a life of wellness through self-nourishment, conscious food and lifestyle choices. She encourages compassionate awareness in daily self-care habits and teaches her clients how to shift their behavioral patterns. Her approach to nutrition is an integration of functional medicine, nutrition psychology and emotional wellness. It is educational, upbeat and non-dogmatic.

She is both the Sherlock Holmes of health, to find the root cause of the symptoms, and the change motivator for each individual client to own their health and emotional balance.

Jeanette believes that food is both our medicine and our tool for optimal wellness. Even when it is a struggle to change our habits, she is dedicated to being there as a resource and inspiration through it all.  People come to her looking for a new way to a healthy and balanced life. Some are seeking freedom from emotional eating. Some want to learn how to heal from illness and understand how to practice prevention and change living with “high risk” to living with “high awareness”.

“I hope for people to feel they learn how and why to eat differently so they can make their own choices, and achieve a complete shift in their life when working with me. It is a health and self-love revolution!”

Born and raised in Denmark, Jeanette came to NYC 22 years ago. Her move started her search for her own path for a new life. In 2004 she founded the Path for Life Self-Nourishment Center. As an ex-fashion-executive and being a woman living in a high-risk category for breast cancer, she knows about the importance and challenges of living a healthy and balanced life in a busy world. In 2001, after both her parents died of cancer 1 year apart, she decided it was time to follow her passion. She took the step to devote all her time and energy to help people learn, heal, and move through what keeps them from being healthy, – and the Path for Life 9-step System was born.

Jeanette is writing a new book on her work as a counselor and guide for change, self-love, and health. She is often quoted as an expert in health magazines and other people’s books.

Erica Duryea, CHHC is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor certified by the AADP and Columbia Teacher’s College through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She has studied the macrobiotic approach to nutrition and healing at the Kushi Institute and is an active student of Tom Monte’s Program for Healers. Erica works with her clients to educate them about food and the power of their choices and to help them understand and overcome the obstacles, both physical and emotional, which stand between them and their optimal wellness.

Erica discovered Macrobiotics and holistic health counseling after she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma at 25 years old and embarked on her own path to wellness and balance. She first came to Path for Life as a client, knowing that she had been called to this work for a reason and seeking to find ways of helping others with the same questions in life. Since then her journey has been guided by passion, curiosity, and a deep and profound desire to spread this force that has changed her life.

Erica joined Path for Life as a counselor in 2008, and is also working with counseling groups of young women in the supportive and healing environment that PFL offers. As a young woman raised in the modern American culture and living in the fast-paced, hyper-extended world of New York, Erica understands the myriad challenges facing young women today: how to make healthy food and lifestyle choices on a budget, how to find the time to buy and prepare healthful, quality food with a hectic schedule, how to integrate a desire to be healthy and balanced with an active and vivacious social life, and how to navigate pressure and isolation in a culture of comparison.

Anne believes that a person’s state of health arises from a unique set of patterns and tendencies, developed over a lifetime and in continual response to numerous external and internal influences. Every condition requires individualized treatment to resolve symptoms and realign deeper imbalances. Anne has brought this approach to her extensive clinical experience, blending the appropriate modalities for each patient to provide highly personalized care. She has treated hundreds of patients with a range of health concerns including headaches, digestive irregularities, acute and chronic pain, HIV, high blood pressure, insomnia, anxiety, depression and other emotional disorders. Her particular focus has been on women’s health issues, from menstrual difficulties to infertility to menopause.
